Testimonials

  • I brought my 16-year-old daughter to Inside Out when she was struggling with her mood. Lauren became very depressed following the passing of a family member. She withdrew from all of us at home, and I really didn’t know how to reach her. This went on for quite a long time, and things got a bit scary for a while. A close friend told me about Inside Out and I went there to see if they could help. This was the best decision I could have made. I first met with the therapist who was so warm and caring, and I booked Lauren in for weekly appointments. She was going to Inside Out for just over six months, and in that time the changes in her were incredible. It’s hard to describe in words what it was like. She loved going to therapy, and she really opened up to us at home so we could help her. My husband and I were guided on the best ways we could help, and this really felt empowering. Lauren is back at school now, back enjoying her friends and just doing the normal things that for a long time she couldn’t manage. I’m so grateful that there is a service there to help us, and to help other families who go through the ups and downs of life

  • Myself and my husband separated a few years back and it had a very big effect on our youngest child. I tried everything I could think of to help her, including music therapy and play therapy. These things did seem to help for a while, but Chloe needed to talk more, and she never fully did that before coming to Inside Out Therapy. Through her work with the therapist, she found her voice and learnt to express herself. This came with its own challenges for me at the time but tyring to find the right words for your child is so much better than having a child who doesn’t know how to open up in the first place. Chloe’s confidence is so much better now. We are all the better from what she has achieved in counselling, and I think all children should learn to express themselves in a safe space

  • My name is Daniel and I have autism. I am 14 years old. I live with all of my family. My mom asked me if I wanted to write about going to the clinic and I said yes. I want to tell other people that inside out therapy is great. I got bullied in school and I felt confused and bad a lot. The clinic helped me to understand that I am ok and there is nothing wrong with being different. I am glad I can say that I like therapy because I thought I would hate it. I am going to keep going to therapy at inside out therapy

  • My little boy Patrick has down syndrome. He has been going to Inside Out Therapy for over a year now and he absolutely loves it. He is working on so many important things that will certainly help him as he grows older in life. I love the fact that Patrick can learn new things, and that this service sees every child as unique individual. His older brother joins in on his sessions so that he can learn how to help Patrick at home. This is a real highlight for us. The relationship he has with the therapist is beautiful. I can’t say enough good things. Best of luck Inside Out Therapy in your next chapter

  • Our son had a language delay and didn’t speak as a small child. It also worried us that he found communicating difficult, and that he preferred to be alone and not with the rest of the family. When he was three, he was diagnosed with having mild autism. We took him to Inside Out Therapy and he has been going there every week for his sessions. Our son loves the sessions. He runs around and plays and still learns to do the things that are so hard for him to do naturally. He is starting to talk now. He is repeating things that we say, and this is the first step to him learning how to communicate with us. This is a fantastic service. It is warm and friendly, and our little boy is making great progress because of it. Thank you so much for everything
